Celebrate love, diversity, and equality at Gulfcoast Pride! Get ready for captivating entertainment, all day concerts, pet pageant, pride parade and a bustling market.  Discover a treasure trove of unique LGBTQ+-inspired products and indulge in mouthwatering flavors from around the world at the Pride Market.  Join us in this joyous celebration and let your true colors shine as we embrace a future where love knows no bounds.

Location:  Boulevard of the Arts from Florida Avenue to Lemon Avenue

Date: Saturday, October 19th, 2024

Parade: 2PM to 3PM

Festival: 3PM to 8PM

Street Party: 8PM to 11PM

Theme:  Lead with Love

Our goal is to showcase the positive aspects of our lives and Sarasota as an inclusive community with partners and allies who appreciate the diversity of its citizens. 

 

The festival will feature live entertainment, local vendors, pet parade, pride parade, and food and beverages.

 

We look forward to partnering with sponsors, vendors, and community members to create an all-inclusive festival where everyone is equally united, supported and celebrated.

PORKCHOP

Victoria "Porkchop" Parker is an acclaimed entertainer with a career spanning over 40 states and more than 100 pageant titles, including the prestigious Miss Continental in 2003. Known for her appearances on the inaugural season of RuPaul's Drag Race and in the award-winning documentary Pageant, Victoria has graced both the stage and screen, featuring in shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Southern Fried Stings. A multiple national pageant winner, she continues to entertain, travel, and inspire audiences nationwide.

ZEE MACHINE

American-born, globally raised, Berklee-educated, loveably queer, pop/rock/electronic/soul singer songwriter and musician. LA/NYC/San Francisco-based and doing my best to create music that makes you feel fabulous and makes a difference. Trying my best to be the first me, not the next someone else. Gulfcoast Pride provides a platform to celebrate and showcase the LGBTQ+ community. Our 2024 theme is Lead with Love, and we invite everyone to share their stories and experiences with the community.

Pet Pageant, parade, Pride Zumba, all day performances, highlighting local LGBTQ+ artists, music, dance party, drag shows, free stuff. Plus, you can mingle with others and make new friends. Come join us and let your rainbow flag fly high

MEET YOUR HOST

Joey Panek is a Sarasota-based TV host, actor, and media personality with a passion for comedy and conversation. After nearly 15 years working as a professional stage actor, he joined ABC7 as a TV personality and host/producer of Suncoast View.

Grand Marshal 2024

​​​Ken Shelin has been a Sarasota resident for nearly 30 years, following a distinguished 34-year career with the FDA, where he retired as Director of the Baltimore District. After relocating, Ken became deeply involved in local civic and non-profit efforts, serving as Sarasota City Commissioner, Vice Mayor, and a member of various boards, including Equality Florida. He has been instrumental in advancing LGBT rights, championing domestic partnership and human rights ordinances across the region. Ken holds a BA from the University of Delaware and lives in Sarasota with his husband of 47 years.

Don't fret about parking; we've got you covered! The PRIDE shuttle will loop with pick-ups every 15-20 minutes from 11:15 AM to 5:30 PM.

Two shuttle pickup points downtown:

• The first stop is at the Truist Bank parking lot (N. Osprey Ave & Fruitville)

• The second stop is at the Palm Ave Parking Garage, right next to Buddy Brew Coffee.
